Tequila Sunrise Recipe – We All Need a Little Tequila With Our OJ
Orange Juice is an awesome breakfast drink. It’s packed with Vitamin C and ,despite the fact that it gives me major heartburn, I really enjoy drinking it. I personally believe that it aids you in getting better when you’re sick. However there is something missing from OJ and the Tequila Sunrise recipe adds just the right ingredients to make it all come together.
Here’s what you need to wake up your Orange Juice:
- 1 1/2 oz Tequila
- Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice (Unless you’re too lazy)
I squeezed my own Orange Juice and I enjoy it much more than the store bought, but I won’t hold it against you if you just grab a bottle at Wal-Mart. Now that I’ve gotten that out of the way let’s build this drink.
- Pour tequila into a glass with ice.
- Fill with Orange Juice, but leave some room at the top.
- Pour about 1/2 oz of Grenadine down the inside of the glass. (you can use a spoon to aid you.)
If you do it right the Grenadine will mostly all sink to the bottom and slightly rise into the OJ. This gives it a cool effect. Add in an orange wheel for extra effect and you’re good to go. Enjoy!
