Marshmallow Vodka Infusion – Another Infused Vodka
So I enjoy doing some nice infusions every once in a while. This time I was looking to make a Marshmallowrita from Bar Rescue, but the problem was that here in PA they don’t sell Smirnoff Marshmallow Vodka. So rather than say screw it I figured this would be an awesome time to make another infusion.
So keeping with the recipe I used Smirnoff Vodka and grabbed myself a bag of mini marshmallows thinking it would be best if more surface area touched the vodka by using the small pieces. So here’s what you’ll need:
- 1 Part Marshmallows
- 3 Parts Vodka
I made a small batch that consisted of 1 1/2 cups of Vodka and 1/2 cup of marshmallows. However you can adjust accordingly. If you want to use a full 750mL bottle of vodka than put about 1 cup of marshmallows in there.
So here is my process for infusing this one.
- Let Vodka and Marshmallows sit for 2 days, shake them about twice daily.
- Strain it through Cheesecloth.
- Strain about 2 or 3 times through a coffee filter.
You may get a sediment at the bottom. Perhaps if you were to siphon the Vodka from the jar into another container leaving the bottom part in there you can get the majority of it out of there.
