Banana Boat – A Mixed Drink Featuring Banana Liqueur
So this is the first time I’ve ever used Banana Liqueur before. I honestly think I could drink the whole bottle straight up because I like the flavor of bananas and this stuff just goes down so smooth. So a drink called the banana boat is what became my first pick for a mixed drink using Banana Liqueur. Why? Because I had all of the ingredients and it seemed easy to make, that’s why!
So this is all you’ll need to make the Banana Boat:
- 1 oz Banana Liqueur
- 1 oz Coconut Rum
- 2 oz Pineapple Juice
Not bad, you can buy both bottles of liquor for under $25 here in PA. So once you’ve gathered all of those ingredients together than it’s time to get some ice and start shaking.
- Pour all ingredients into a shaker half full of ice.
- Shake it well and strain it into a lowball glass over new ice.
- Garnish with a Maraschino cherry
- Enjoy and check out my YouTube Channel. (optional, but appreciated)
This drink has mainly a strong Banana flavor and I feel the Banana liqueur tends to overpower everything that it is put in. The coconut and pineapple flavor is lightly noticeable, but this is after all called the Banana Boat so the strong Banana flavor is to be expected. Personally I enjoyed it and if you love the taste of bananas that I bet you will also.
